Visage, pronounced (viz'ij) means the face, especially of a human, usually with reference to shape, features, expression , etc.; countenance.

From a young age I have attempted to paint people, usually finding more satisfaction in painting the down-trodden or those whose tale might not readily be told.  I prefer to paint from life and for me it is the best way to re-create the visage before me.

After graduating from high school, I traveled to New York and studied at the Art Students League with Frank Mason. I was later awarded a scholarship to the Scottsdale Art School and chose to study with John Asaro.
